The intent of this project is to design an exterior-grade bench for the walking trails at the Ravenwing Ranch. The location of the site is along the banks of the Columbia River in Washington State. This area experiences a range of seasonal conditions from warm, dry summers with occasional thunderstorms and winters averaging around 40°F with occasional snow. The design of the bench needs to withstand these conditions and consider the surrounding environment and building structures. As the lead designer for this project, I worked closely with local metal and millwork teams to bring this project to life.

This bench features a COR-TEN steel frame and a solid Teak back and seat. Overtime, the patina of these materials will compliment the warmth of the surrounding environment and offer residents and hikers a place to sit and enjoy the view.
